Token Airdrop Weekly Data Report — Week of September 21 – 27, 2026

1. Week-over-week: the fourth comparison, and a supply-side week

The fourth week-over-week comparison flips the market's center of gravity. For three weeks the action lived on the demand side — Alpha thresholds, claim events, exchange campaigns. This week the largest numbers all sit on the supply side: one unlock (~$158M in XPL) outweighed the week's largest airdrop event by more than two orders of magnitude, while the claim side produced exactly two completed events (NEAR's 333,333-token conversion and a 180-CYS Alpha round). Every figure below carries its source; where two sources disagree, we show both.

2. The Alpha threshold series: the rebound to 250

Last week the series printed its first decline. This week it printed its high. On September 23 at 18:00 (UTC+8), Binance Alpha opened a third Cysic (CYS) round at a 250-point threshold for 180 CYS, first-come first-served, threshold dropping 5 points per 5 minutes while the pool lasted, 15-point claim cost — the standard mechanics at the highest entry price we have recorded.

3. Deadlines: the ratio moves to 2 of 6 as a hard row closes and a harder one opens

The Week 40 tracker list carries six protocol rows: Beldex/Humanity (payout closed September 25; liquidation September 28 – October 2), Sonic (October 15, hard), Grass (January 22, 2027, hard), GRVT (30 days per tranche, next date unpublished), Plume Season 2 (no end date), and dappOS Phase 2 (no end date). Two of six carry a printed end date.

4. Unlocks: the $158M cliff, and a tracker disagreement worth reading slowly

Eight scheduled releases inside the window, per Token Unlocks data carried by PANews and Gate, with Dropstab-via-Coinness as cross-check. The week's total depends on which tracker and which denominators you trust — AltcoinBuzz's "$900M week" headline and its own percentages do not reconcile with each other (see below), so we table per-event figures and decline to publish a week total.

STBLSep 26, 10:00210M~$5.3M4.42%PANews

Two measurement notes belong under that table. First, the XPL disagreement is stark: 63.20% versus 97.44% of circulating supply for the same event. The two trackers are using different supply bases — the token amounts and dollar values are within 1% of each other; only the denominator differs. We report both and decline to average them. Second, within a single source (AltcoinBuzz) the arithmetic does not close: XPL's $159.91M is called "63.2% of every token released that week," implying a ~$253M week, while the same article's headline claims a "$900M week." Both cannot be true. We therefore publish per-event figures with sources and no week total.

5. NEAR Drop 1: the price gate as a data point

The week's only non-exchange airdrop event completed on September 21: NEAR@3.33's Drop 1 — 333,333 milestone tokens — converted after the three-day volume-weighted average price held at or above $3.33, per Jinse Finance as reported by CoinDCX. Context for the scale: at the conversion-week price of $4.17–$4.26, the entire pool was worth roughly $1.39–$1.42 million, which CoinDCX calculates at about 0.07% of a single day's $2.16 billion NEAR volume. The gate structure: a $70 million Confidential-Intents TVL milestone (crossed September 17) triggered the snapshot; eligibility required over $100 in confidential balances at the September 15 snapshot plus at least one confidential swap; a 2% per-wallet cap (~6,666 tokens) limits concentration; and the tokens themselves stay locked until the VWAP condition is met.

6. The WLFI third distribution: the gap becomes structural

The third of four weekly WLFI distributions fell due September 25. At our September 28 check, no published effective APR or per-holder value for the September 11, 18 or 25 distributions was found in the accessible version of Binance's campaign announcement. The commitment remains 150 million WLFI across four weekly distributions through October 2, with the standing mechanics: hourly lowest-balance snapshots, 1.2× boost at $300+ USD1 futures open interest, 70% haircut on borrowed USD1.

7. Methodology — how this report is built

  • Counting rules. "Completed airdrop events" counts distributions or conversions that reached recipients inside the window, from a project or protocol announcement. Exchange promotions are counted separately from protocol rows. Unlock figures are taken from the named tracker as published on the date cited, without adjustment.
  • Disagreement handling. Where two trackers disagree on the same event, we print both values with attribution and choose neither. We do not average, round, or "reconcile" figures between sources — the disagreement is itself data about measurement quality in this market.
  • Zero-fabrication rule. Every number carries a clickable source; where a value is unpublished (WLFI per-holder payouts, Variational's team/investor split, NEAR's wallet count), we state the gap instead of estimating it.

FAQ

1. Did the Binance Alpha threshold decline continue?

No. After last week's first decline to 240 and 235, the September 23 Cysic (CYS) round opened at 250 points — the highest in the series we track (180, 200, 230, 240, 241, 246, 240/235, 250). The series still trends up on any window longer than a week, with exactly one interruption.

2. How large was the XPL unlock and why do the percentages disagree?

Approximately 1.76 billion XPL, valued near $158 million, on September 25. Token Unlocks via PANews puts it at about 63.20% of circulating supply; Dropstab via Coinness puts the same event at 97.44%. The disagreement is in the supply base each tracker uses, and we table both rather than average them.

3. How does the deadline count read this week?

Two of six tracked protocol rows carry a printed end date, per the CryptoTicker Week 40 list: Beldex/Humanity (payout closed Sep 25, liquidation Sep 28 - Oct 2), Sonic (Oct 15, hard), Grass (Jan 22, 2027, hard), GRVT, Plume and dappOS (no end dates published). Sonic replaces Beldex/Humanity as the dated action-required row.

4. Did NEAR's Drop 1 tokens convert this week?

Yes. The 333,333 milestone tokens converted on September 21 after the three-day VWAP held at or above $3.33, per Jinse Finance via CoinDCX. At the conversion-week price of roughly $4.17 to $4.26, the pool was worth about $1.39 to $1.42 million — roughly 0.07% of a single day's NEAR volume.

5. Is the WLFI distributed amount published yet?

No. At our September 28 check, no published effective APR or per-holder WLFI value was found for the September 11, 18 or 25 distributions in accessible sources. The fourth and final distribution falls due October 2. We publish the 150M commitment and the unmeasured gap, and nothing in between.

6. Is this financial advice?

No. AirdropStat publishes research and commentary for informational purposes. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell, or farm any token.
